CAP Ex-ZOO/CAP /PRODUCER (TECHNO/HOUSE/ELECTRO)

Cap is a household name in Japan because of the success of his career as a dancer in the group [Zoo] in the 90’s. Since then he has been on the circuit as a choreographer, dance artist manager, event producer and A&R man for numerous events and music labels including [Universal Music], [Dreams Come True] and [Toshiba EMI], [Timeless Inc]. Throughout his career he has always been involved in the music industry both as an independent artist releasing dope tunes on various Japanese indie labels such as [Shiburai] and as a producer/adviser to many now famous Japanese artists (Double, Zebra etc.). Throughout, he has always been a keen DJ and radio disk jockey (Shibuya FM).

Cap has always kept the party going by putting on regular events such as the legendary Rue d B in the RnB/Hip Hop scene, and parties in the drum n bass scene and the techno/trance/electro scene. He has produced many events and invited and played alongside a number of international artists such as Adam Freeland, DJ Hell, Africa Bambaata, Mani (Stone Roses/Primal Scream), Scratch Massive and Telepopmusik to name just a few.

He plays a deep, dope and funky set full of electro filth and freakyness infused with some rock attitude and mixed up hip hop style, he brings with him his own images for backdrop and his cheeky DJ charisma. He looks great behind the decks.

His latest project is as the electro unit [Pimp Pomp Pump] who have just released an EP Called [Pimps Love] in collaboration with the New York/Paris label [Refuge Records] with remixes from Siskid from Black Strobe and DJ Antipop. He has just come back from his French tour where he played 4 dates in Paris.

Until he is called to play abroad, Cap will be hosting his regular hip hop and electro nights and DJ’ing around Tokyo.
